Taped live at the historic Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City in High Definition TV, band members Steven Tyler (vocals), Joe Perry (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass), Joey Kramer (drums) and Brad Whitford (guitar) perform a rousing 30 minute acoustic medley of their hit songs past and present. Song selections include "Toys In The Attic," "Hang Man Jury," "Big 10 Inch," "Dream On," "Walkin' The Dog," and "Train Kept A Rollin'." "MTV Unplugged" with Aerosmith, with high definition imaging by Captain of America, marks the first airing of a high definition program on the network. The acoustic album of the Brazilian band Charlie Brown Jr. broadcast on MTV Brazil. The album contains interviews with the band and the making-of video recording, and features music known to the public, along with new songs "Vícios e Virtudes" and "Não Uso Sapato". The concert, which was recorded in São Paulo, with the participation of special guests. Marcelo Nova, Negra Li, the group RZO Marcelo D2 and sang with the Acoustic whiner. The repertoire some recordings of other composers, such as "Samba Makossa" (Chico Science, with special participation of Marcelo D2), "Hoje" (Marcelo Nova), with participation of the artist himself and "Oba Lá Vem Ela" (Jorge Ben Jor).

10000 Maniacs: MTV Unplugged

MTV Unplugged is a 1993 live album by 10,000 Maniacs. The music was recorded for the MTV Unplugged series and it was also the last album by the band featuring Natalie Merchant as vocalist. In addition to the songs released on this album, four takes of "How You've Grown" were recorded, second takes of "Because the Night" and "Gold Rush Brides", a brief take of "Puff the Magic Dragon" and three other songs which featured singer David Byrne as a guest: "Let The Mystery Be" (two takes, one of which was released as a B-Side to "Few and Far Between" and on Campfire Songs: The Popular, Obscure and Unknown Recordings), "Jolene", and "Dallas". In 1994, it reached 13 on the Billboard 200.

John Mellencamp: MTV Unplugged

"MTV Unplugged" presents beloved American rocker John Mellencamp. The program, which was taped in Los Angeles in April of 1992, features a medley of Mellencamp hits. Mellencamp, who was just wrapping up a worldwide concert tour at the time of the taping, was accompanied by touring band members Mike Wanchic (guitar), Kenny Aronoff (drums), Toby Myers (bass), David Grissom (guitar), John Cascella (accordion), Lisa Germano (fiddle) and Pat Peterson and Jenny Douglas-McRae (background vocals).
